Description
The licensee will learn the regulations, laws and rules as they apply to health benefits. COBRA and ERISA benefits are complex to administer, with HIPAA applying to most of the complexities as well, this course will assist the licensee in navigating the difficult waters and educating their clients. Special emphasis will be given to ERISA and COBRA compliance issues and the need for required communications and documents. We will also discuss strategies on how to shift some of the responsibility and obligations for small and large businesses. Lastly, a few of the great lessons we’ve learned from recent DOL and IRS audits will be discussed.
